Chocolate is dangerous for your dog. How about ice cream?

We know that chocolate might kill your dog, because theobromine in it is hard for them to process. How about ice cream?

With the coming National Ice Cream Day on July 16, Mega-retailer PetSmart decided to treat the flurry creatures, again, in New York, with their ice cream truck.

“This is dog safe ice cream. So it’s lactose free. It’s got a nice vanilla flavor. It’s human-grade. So if you wanted to try it you can try it. It’s not very sweet. Then we serve it with kibble topping. So it’s a cute little doggie ice cream sundae.” said Mardi Larson, PetSmart’s senior PR.

This year the ice cream truck also pops up in Dallas, Seattle and Toronto.

“Loves it. She’s been eating all morning. We are having a great time. She’s meeting a lot of people and other pets. And she’s having fun letting people taking selfies with her.” said Samantha Carrell, owner of Tinkerbelle.

If you are not in the above mentioned cities where they have pop-up dog ice cream trucks,  PetSmat’s Petshotel cross north America will serve free ice cream on the National Ice Cream Day  (July 16) .
