College best friends turn into magicians, dress up as princesses and visit sick children

A group of college best friends have come together to spread some magic in the life of sick children. Dressed up as princess, characters from world’s most famous fairy tales, these girls visit sick children and enliven their rooms with fresh hope and happiness.

Kylee McGrane, Wilkes Barre and Margaret McAndrew started ‘A Moment of Magic’ to help sick children and it soon grew into a project and a non-profit.

“I still get nervous every single time I go into a hospital,” said Kylee in an interview with Elite Daily. “I’m always afraid that I’m never going to be pretty enough or smart enough, or thin enough but, you know it’s the kids that make me confident because I don’t think I ever go on a visit where a little girl doesn’t like, grab my hair, or just literally hands on my face and go, ‘You are so beautiful…..’ and like, that’s the most heartwarming thing.”

And it’s with this love for children ‘A Moment of Magic’ works with volunteers who go through a rigorous training before they start visiting children.

“On a mission to spread some magic, and a little bit of pink in the busy world around them, this program takes college-age students to volunteer at children’s hospitals and schools dressed as some of the world’s most popular princesses,” says the website of the project.

The program according to the website can be adopted by colleges and universities across United States as either the Fairy Tale Force or Mission Super Hero.

“The Fairytale Force focuses on the characters from the world’s most famous fairytales while Mission Super Hero allows volunteers to visit children as super heroes.,” it says.
