Competition Is the Way That Price Comes Down: Doctor on Health Care Transparency Bill

A House committee Committee on Education and the Workforce just introduced a number of bipartisan bills on July 12 aimed at bolstering transparency when it comes to healthcare pricing, while simultaneously lowering costs.

It’s part of the latest clampdown by members of Congress on soaring medical costs and drug prices that have left an estimated 112 million US adults struggling to afford medical insurance.

Dr. Scott Atlas, a Senior Fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution who also advised the White House Coronavirus Task Force, discussed recent changes to health insurance.
