Concerns Over 8,000 California Prisoners’ Release

Protesters chained themselves to a fence outside California Governor Gavin Newsom’s mansion. They are demanding the governor release many inmates as cases and deaths rise in the state’s prisons. Newsom plans to release 8,000 of the state’s prisoners by the end of August.
