Connecticut Now Has Most Taxpayer Burden: Report

According to this year’s “Financial State of the States” report, the top five states with the highest taxpayer burden are: Connecticut, New Jersey, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Hawaii. Each Connecticut resident shares $62,500 of the state’s total outstanding debt. Each New Jersey resident has a tax burden of $58,300. And each Illinois resident $57,000.
