The Supreme Court heard arguments on Tuesday from a Jan. 6 defendant, in a case that could potentially reduce charges for hundreds of Jan. 6 defendants, including former President Donald Trump, who face the same criminal charge. Jim Burling, vice president of Legal Affairs at the Pacific Legal Foundation, says the conservative justices appear skeptical of the government’s arguments, while the liberal justices appear to agree with the government’s arguments.
