I have a confession to make today. When I’m just by myself, I tend to be lazy to cook. So the other day, I got this. It’s frozen Gyudon Beef Bowl. Then I’m like I really shouldn’t be doing this. I teach people to make healthy recipes, so I should be a good example too. So… I decided cook Gyudon Beef Bowl myself.
2 bowls of rice
8 oz of thin beef slices, rib eye, sukiya beef
3 tablespoons of soy sauce
3 tablespoons of mirin wine
3 tablespoons of sake
2 tablespoons of sugar
3 tablespoons of oil
1 small sliced onion
3 beaten eggs
1 tablespoon of minced scallions
1/4 teaspoon of pickled red ginger for garnish
In a pot, boil water, blanch the beef slices in it for about 30 seconds to remove the blood and the gamey taste. Take them out and drain all the water.
In a small bowl, let’s mix the sauce, with 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of mirin wine, 3 tablespoons of sake, 2 tablespoons of sugar.
In a pan, add 3 tablespoons of oil, and after the oil is hot, introduce 1 small sliced onion into the pan and cook for about 2 minutes until soften. Now pour the sauce into the pan, and add the beef slices, and stir until combined. Lastly, slowly and evenly drizzle 3 beaten eggs over the beef.
