Cost-of-Living Aid Will Hit Bank Accounts

More than eight million households will start to receive payments directly to their bank accounts to ease cost-of-living pressures. It’s the first of two lump sums totaling 650 pounds and will be followed by more payments for certain groups, as well as a reduction to energy bills that are due to rise considerably later this year.
