One person was killed and three others wounded after a man opened fire at a California Costco on the night of June 14.
Police officers in Corona rushed to the Costco Wholesale at 7:46 p.m. after getting reports of an active shooter and found four people who had been shot. One succumbed to their injuries at the scene while the other three were rushed to the hospital, the Corona Police Department said.
“Investigators have accounted for all of the people directly involved with this incident,” it added.
The suspected shooter was detained and also taken to a hospital after claiming he was injured, police told reporters at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Times. No one involved has been identified as of yet.

Lt. Jeff Edwards said the shooting was preceded by an argument between the gunman and another man. The gunman shot the man he was in an argument with, killing him.
Witnesses told CBS LA that they heard seven or eight gunshots fired. One witness said that “a white guy with a Mohawk” was arguing with a man who was with a woman and a young child before shooting. “Apparently they were having words and he pulled his gun out and just started shooting.”
Witnesses told police officers that an argument took place before the shooting, a police spokesperson told NBC 7.
Video footage recorded by one shopper showed people hiding behind a meat case as screaming took place in the background, reported NBC LA. The footage also showed a police officer inside the store.
“At one point we thought the shooter was going to come out and shoot everybody,” witness Luis Rafael said. “That’s how crazy it was going on.”

Nikki Tate, a shopper inside the store, said she crawled over to her daughter and they hid together.
“I didn’t know if this was another mass shooting,” she said.
Aurtis Wilson, a retired U.S. Marine, told the Press Enterprise that he heard the argument and “next thing I know I hear seven shots.”
