The New York Police Department had their hands full on the morning of March 19, after a cow went on the loose on a Bronx expressway.
The cow was first reported on shortly before noon on the Major Deegan Expressway.
Emergency personnel successfully captured the cow. Officials were forced to tranquilize the animal.
The cow caused a huge traffic jam on the expressway. It didn’t sustain any injuries and will be transported to a local animal sanctuary.

It’s not yet clear where the cow came from.
