CPI Shows Grocery Prices Up 7.4 percent

Supermarket Morton Williams has been forced to raise prices, just like every other supermarket. The consumer price index (CPI) shows fruits and vegetables are 5.5 percent more expensive this year. Morton Wiliams says that’s simply because it costs stores more to buy.

NTD spoke with Avi Kaner, co-owner of Morton Williams Supermarkets, about the situation.
