On a recent vacation in Greece, Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo was so impressed with hotel staff for keeping the paparazzi at bay that he tipped them extremely generously, according to a new report.

Earlier this month, Ronaldo helped Portugal secure the Nations League title, and snagged several wins for himself.

“What an unforgettable season! New experiences, gigantic club, exciting city, broken records and three more titles!” he shared in an Instagram post.

He became the first player to reach 100 wins and 125 goals in Champions League. He is also the first to win 10 UEFA titles, score in all National Teams final stages, and score in 10 consecutive National Teams final stages from 2004-2019.

After helping to secure the Nations League title, Ronaldo and his family went on vacation.

During the family’s holiday trip, no pictures appeared in the press or social media from paparazzi. Ronaldo was reportedly so thankful for hotel staff for helping to keep the vacation private that he left a $22,800 (£18,000) tip, according to Spanish outlet AS.

While the paparazzi might not have been able to snap any photos, Ronaldo did post pictures on his social media.

“Let’s go,” he captioned a post, where the family seems to be taking a private ride in a helicopter.

This isn’t the first time Ronaldo has given such a generous tip while on vacation.

Last year, the Juventus star also made a generous tip of $22,735 (£17,850) on another holiday in Greece, according to The Guardian.

When Ronaldo and his family checked out of the exclusive Costa Navarino resort last year, hotel staff discovered that he’d left the generous tip, according to the news outlet.

His only requirement was that the tip be split equally among the staff.

“The 10 employees, who had been tasked with providing services to Ronaldo’s family and to keep them away from the paparazzi, each received $2,280 (£1790),” according to the Greek online sports magazine Sportime.gr.

“It was an honour and a great experience for our team to look after Cristiano Ronaldo and his family,” staff wrote sharing pictures on social media with the Juventus star. “A big thank you @Cristiano for being part of our story.”
