Soccer phenomenon Cristiano Ronaldo arrived with the Portugal national team in his hometown of Funchal,on the island of Madeira. Visitors will get to view the newly expanded museum built to honor Ronaldo. Ronaldo’s cousin Nuno Viveiros welcomed visitors to the museum with a few words about its purpose.

“The story of this museum is to make people aware of Cristiano’s story, when people enter the museum they are made aware of everything of what Cristiano won and basically it’s just that, it’s to give the privilege to the people to [see] original balls, boots, everything that Cristiano won,” said Viveiros.

Ronaldo will play a game against Sweden here, and also have an airport renamed in his honor.
