Cruz, Kennedy Question Human Rights Campaign President on Transgender Athletes

The participation of transgender athletes in women’s sports is back in the spotlight. Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines testified on Capitol Hill on Wednesday about her being forced to compete against—and share a changing room with—a biological male opponent. Meanwhile, Senators Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and John Kennedy (R-La.) had some hard questions on the issue for the President of the Human Rights Campaign, Kelley Robinson.
