No U.S. federal systems have been affected by the global cyberattack so far, said President Donald Trump’s homeland security adviser Tom Bossert.

“Overall the U.S. affection rate has been lower than many parts of the world but we may still see significant impacts in additional networks as these malware attacks morph and change,” said Bossert.

“We continue closely monitoring the situation around the clock at the highest levels of government. We’re bringing all of the capabilities of the U.S. government to bear on this issue and are working side-by-side with our partners in the private sector and our international partners,” he said.

The “ransomware” attack has affected an estimated 300,000 machines in 150 countries.
