The ultimate wedding present of a father for his daughter at a wedding ceremony? There seem to be no record book on that, but this father is getting pretty close. At his daughter’s wedding ceremony, right when it was his turn to hold his speech, everybody was expecting him to say a few short words or to hold a speech. Instead, he refused to speak.
What he did instead, was pretty shocking to everybody. He performed a song in front of everyone, and not by singing – at all. He spent a whole year trying to learn the sign language, so that he can perform his song by signing. It was an extremely special and dedicated present for his daughter, since she is a sign language interpreter. The bride, Nicole said in her own words about the beautiful moment,
“At my wedding reception my dad surprises my new husband and I by signing a beautiful song. I am a sign language interpreter so this meant the world to me. He said it took him the entire year I was engaged to learn how to sign this song.”
