Lawyers for Daniel Penny have spoken out after the former Marine was indicted in connection with the death of homeless man Jordan Neely during an altercation on a New York subway railcar on May 1. Penny’s lawyers told reporters that the right and duty of ordinary citizens to defend each other will also be on trial as their client’s case moves forward.
