Peter Madsen, who was convicted of killing Swedish journalist Kim Wall in a self-built submarine in 2017, briefly escaped a Danish prison on Tuesday before being recaptured.
According to police, he held a prison employee hostage with an object resembling a gun as he forced his way out.
