A Northern California woman said that she was lucky to not be seriously hurt after a pipe came crashing down on her windshield as she was driving on Interstate 80 near Fairfield, according to KTXL Fox 40.
In the dashcam footage, a pipe can be seen hitting Katie Nichols’s windshield, NBC Bay Area reported.
“Shocking is the best way to say it,” Nichols said. “I didn’t know what had happened. It shattered my windshield and sprayed glass at my face and in my car, and I was shocked.”
Officials said that someone threw the object at her car.
“I was pretty horrified, and I was saddened that somebody would be so reckless with other people’s lives,” Nichols said.
