Data Shows Race a Factor in Asian Admissions

Are Asians being discriminated against? That’s the question facing many students and their parents here in the United States, and it’s going all the way to the Supreme Court. On Monday, the court said it would allow a Virginia public high school’s admissions policy to continue—despite a group that challenged it and said it is discriminatory.

The case is the latest front in a legal battle over school admissions policies that affect the racial composition of campuses, also known as affirmative action.

Now adding to the discussion, the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research released a report Thursday on affirmative action. NTD spoke with the study’s author, Robert VerBroogen,, to learn more.
