These two dazzling pink and blue pear-shaped diamond earrings are together expected to auction off at $70 million. The Apollo Blue and Artemis Pink stones are on display in London before their Geneva sale on May 16.

David Bennett, the worldwide chairman of Sotheby’s jewelry division, said the Apollo and Artemis diamonds are “by far the most important pair of earrings ever offered at auction.” They will be offered to buyers separately at the auction house’s Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels sale next month.

The Apollo Blue is a 14.54-carat internally flawless fancy vivid blue stone with an estimated price of between $38 million and $50 million. The Artemis Pink is a 16-carat fancy intense pink stone with an estimated price of between $12.5 million and $18 million.

Last week, a 59.6-carat pink diamond sold for a record $71.2 million in Hong Kong.
