Disneyland Paris celebrated its 25th year of operation on Saturday, March 25 with a colorful parade featuring classic Disney characters like Minnie Mouse and Captain Hook.

Visitors from around the world joined the festivities, where children could revel in fantasy and their parents could indulge their inner children as well.

Lionea, a tourist from the Netherlands, explained, “We love the fact that you can be like a child when you’re an adult actually. This is the only place you can be like a child.”

The popular tourist destination in Chessy, just outside the city of Paris, welcomed its first guests on April 12, 1992.

Tim from the United States said, “Disneyland is special because it’s just fun, it’s a place to feel like a kid again, and I bring my daughter here and she loves it, and I’ve been coming to the different Disney parks since I was a kid and it’s just a lot of fun.”

The park employs a “cast” (not a staff, in Disney-speak) of 15,000 workers and hosts thousands of families each year.
