DOD Assistant Secretary to Talk About Hong Kong During China Visit

Randall Schriver, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, is scheduled to visit China next week. He said on Oct. 1 that the United States is concerned with Beijing’s increasingly heavy hand in response to protests in Hong Kong, and that this is anticipated to be a topic for discussion during his visit.
