A dog was rescued from an icy pond in the city of Lone Tree, Colorado, on Jan. 12.
Video provided to Reuters shows a firefighter dressed in a dry suit and attached to a safety rope crawling toward the dog.
He is then seen assisting the canine up onto all fours before both make the journey back over the thin layer of ice to safety.
“‘Bri’ is one lucky pup!” said South Metro Fire Rescue in a Facebook post, adding that they had been alerted by 911 callers.
