U.S. year-over-year home prices dropped by the most since 2011, according to the latest S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price Index.
This time last year, home prices were continuing a hot streak of more than 20 percent annual gains for three consecutive months, a surge that eventually peaked in June 2022.
