Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his wife Kate, attended the Six Nations Championship match between France and Wales at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis near Paris on Saturday (March 18).

The royal couple arrived in France on Friday (March 17) for an official visit.

Earlier on Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Invalides military museum in Paris.

William and Kate also met with victims and first responders from the 2015 attacks at the Bataclan concert venue in Paris, and the 2016 truck attack in Nice, during which Islamic militants killed and injured scores of people on Bastille Day.

Officials said there was no change to couple’s visit following an incident at Paris’ Orly airport.

A man was shot dead at the airport after trying to seize a gun from patrolling soldiers, and French anti-terrorist prosecutors have opened an investigation.
