Dying father wished to cuddle unborn baby girl before his death, so his wife decided for early birth!

Struggling to overcome his terminal colon cancer, this dying dad had a wish — to see his unborn baby girl for first and the last time. So, his wife took the risk of  undergoing induced labor, next to his dying husband!

Mark Aulger from Texas was a loving father to his four children. His wife, Diane Aulger was confident that he would have been a wonderful dad to his fifth child, if he is still around, but that would never happen.

He was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, a lung disease that affects the respiratory; the chances of his survival were extremely small.

All aware of his terminal health, this loving dad made a wish to his wife: to meet his fifth unborn child.

Before Mark was diagnosed with the lung disease, he had earlier on completed his eight months of chemotherapy. During the Christmas season, the doctors declared that he had overcome the cancer.

Everyone was happy for him but everything was turned upside down just after the New Year. Mark was hospitalized as he could not breathe.

The family were informed that the chemotherapy had damaged his lungs and he had only one week left to live.

Diane, 31, was eight-months-pregnant at that time. They decided to induce labor two weeks earlier, so that Mark could witness their third daughter’s birth, and hold her close. On January 18, 2012, she gave birth to their daughter Savannah.

Mark was the first person to hold the adorable baby and held her close for 45 minutes. He cradled her again the next day for one minute before he slipped into a coma and passed away two days later at the age of 52.

Family is indeed something we humans cannot live without, how this courageous wife granted the last wish of her dying husband, is not only heart-breaking but also shows the immense love parents have for their children!
