Eman Ahmed went into an Indian hospital weighing more than 1,100 pounds.

When she left a month later she weighed less than half that.

Ahmed, from Egypt, is in her mid-thirties. Because of her weight she had not walked in 25 years. She is believed to have been the heaviest woman alive.

After several surgeries, doctors managed to reduce her weight to under 450 pounds. She hopes to be able to walk again, but that will require more surgery.

She is going to Abu Dhabi for further treatment, because of disputes between her family members and some of the hospital staff.
