Coffins of the victims of the Coptic church bombing in Alexandria were carried through streets packed with tearful yet angry mourners to the Monastery of Saint Mina, where funeral services were held, Monday, April 10.

The lethal blast, which killed 17 in the Coptic Christian church, was one of two on Palm Sunday, April 9. A second bomb ripped through a Coptic Church in the nearby town of Tanta, killing 28.

ISIS claimed responsibility for both blasts.

The Coptic church is the largest Christian church in the Mideast. its members have long felt that they were not accorded the same protections as the Muslim majority.
