The Eiffel Tower turned out its lights on Tuesday, April 4, to honor the victims of the suicide bombing attack on the St. Petersburg subway.

The famous Paris monument went dark two hours before midnight in honor of the 14 who were killed and the dozens who were injured.

In the past the Eiffel Tower has been lit in the colors of the French, German, and Belgian flags to honor attack victims.

The tower also went dark on March 23 to mark the attack on London’s Westminster bridge.

In January 2015 England lit London’s National Gallery and Trafalgar Square in the colors of France to show solidarity with the people of Paris after a series of terror attacks on that city.
