Eiffel Towers goes dark to honor London attack victims

The Eiffel Tower shut its lights early on June 5 in a tribute to the victims of the latest London terror attack.

The lights went out 45 minutes after midnight—the approximate time the of the London attack on June 4

The #EiffelTower account sent a tweet to explain, “Tonight, at 12:45 am, I will turn my lights off to pay tribute to the victims of the London attack. #EiffelTower”

It is not unusual for the Eiffel Tower to honor innocent victims. It has displayed the French, Belgian, and British colors recently, to memorialize terror attacks in those countries.
