Elderly Woman Dies In Forced Eviction

A nearly 90-year-old woman died after being beaten by local officials as they were about to demolish her home. Forced evictions are common in China. Chinese citizens who resist or protest the evictions may be subjected to harassment, beatings, or in this case, death.
