Dewi the orangutan and Man Jai the elephant shared the limelight at Melbourne Zoo in early December when they celebrated their birthdays two days apart.
Dewi celebrated her eighth birthday on Dec. 6, and cheeky Man Jai celebrated his fifth rotation around the sun two days later. Dewi tore open gifts and enjoyed tasty fruit snacks on her special day while Man Jai celebrated with fresh watermelon and a dip on his.
A Zoos Victoria spokesperson said Man Jai spent the whole week making sure everyone knew it was his birthday, but luckily Dewi wasn’t too upset with sharing her birth week with her elephant friend.
