Elon Musk Issues Grave Warning on Illegal Immigration, Says ‘Groundwork Is Being Laid for Something Far Worse Than 9/11’

Elon Musk has expressed strong criticism of the Biden administration’s decision to secretly transport hundreds of thousands of immigrants into the United States.

Mr. Musk noted on his X social media platform that importing unvetted migrants on such a scale is putting the nation at risk of a terrorist attack of a magnitude greater than that experienced on Sept. 11, 2001.

“This administration is both importing voters and creating a national security threat from unvetted illegal immigrants. It is highly probable that the groundwork is being laid for something far worse than 9/11. Just a matter of time,” Mr. Musk posted on March 5.

His comments were made in reference to a Daily Mail article from the previous day, which raised questions about the national security aspect of importing well over 300,000 immigrants into the United States in the past 12 months in order to reduce the number of illegal crossings at the southern border.

The migrants were brought in under the Biden administration’s controversial CBP One program, which allows immigrants to apply for asylum in the United States via a phone app from their home countries.

In a subsequent post, Mr. Musk went on to point out how the lack of voter ID requirements in some states contributes to the problem. According to Democratic lawmakers, the requirement for photo ID is unconstitutional—something that has prompted calls for election reform from some Republican lawmakers.

“This is why groups on the far left fight so hard to stop voter ID requirements, under the absurd guise of protecting the right to vote,” he posted on X.

Currently, 36 states have laws in place that require some form of identification at the polls. However, some 14 states—including New York, California, and the District of Columbia—have no requirement to present identification in order to cast a vote, making the issue a hot topic in political debates ahead of this year’s presidential election.

Many Republicans have pointed out that the immigrants—most of whom were flown in from unknown locations—are overwhelming major American cities, as well as infrastructure such as airports.

The eligibility for CBP One applications includes citizens of multiple Latin American countries, including Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, and Ecuador.

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) has initiated a lawsuit against the Biden administration’s CBP One program, in which the CIS described the secretive flights as “legally dubious.”

In addition to flying in immigrants from undisclosed places, the locations where the migrants were brought to were not disclosed due to fears expressed by legal experts at the administration’s immigration agencies that doing so would compromise national security, the Daily Mail reported.

This was met with allegations from the CIS that refusal to reveal the migrants’ locations due to such fears was an indication the program should be discontinued.

Musk’s Texas Visit

Mr. Musk visited the southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas, last year where, according to his own accounts, he was witness to some intense situations involving immigrants crossing illegally into the U.S.

The tech billionaire has since called out the Biden administration’s lax border policies on several occasions. On his visit to Eagle Pass, Mr. Musk pointed out during a live stream posted on X that he had heard reports of a migrant with certain facial tattoos crossing the border.

He said the significance of this was that such tattoos were indicative of the person having “murdered someone and they are so proud of having murdered someone that they tattoo one tear on their face for every one person that they killed,” according to the New York Post.

Meanwhile, the arrival of an unprecedented number of illegal immigrants in the United States has had a noticeable impact on infrastructure in the country, especially with regard to housing and accommodation.

New York Mayor Eric Adams last year raised the alarm about the situation and the serious impact the over 100,000 migrants are having on his city’s social services.

According to Mr. Musk, once all other options have been depleted, and housing migrants in shelters or hotels is no longer possible, Americans’ homes will be next in line.

“This is what happens when you run out of hotel rooms. Soon, cities will run out of schools to vacate. Then they will come for your homes,” Mr. Musk said in an X post earlier this year.
