Ember – the London string trio being played all over the radio

It’s amazing how such a full sound can be created with just one violin and 2 cellos. This London based string trio is called Ember and they’ve managed to combine their sounds so well, they’ve grown popular across a wide range of radio stations.

One cellist uses his fist to produce a beat, while the stringed instruments give a rich melody. Then they go and switch over from using the bow to using their fingers in pizzicato. You couldn’t guess that it’s just three instruments playing all these tunes.

The Ember string trio consists of classically trained violinist Elliot Lyte and cellists Chris Gascoine and Tom Huet.

Let’s tune into to their sound and get mesmerized by these lovely melodies.
