Soldier Mom Surprises Her Two Kids

A family had a heart-warming surprise reunion at a School in Jacksonville, Florida, on Monday, Nov. 19.

A mother has just finished a 6-month deployment with the Navy and wants to surprise her two kids.

Landon and Taylor Dean were onstage, reading a letter that thanked their mother “for fighting for America and protecting people in North America.”

They had no idea that their mother, Holly Dean, had just got back from deployment.

As the children continued reading, their mother sneaked up on stage, then surprised her children with her presence.

Despite standing further away from her mother, Taylor threw herself at her mother for a hug, crying. Landon too, was in tears of happiness and soon joined his sister in hugging their mother.

“Just so happy and I was hugging mommy,” said Landon, a second grader, in an interview later.

It was very emotional for their mother too.

“I was going to try to hold it together but there’s no way to, to hold it together,” said Holly Dean.

Holly was grateful for being able to spend Thanksgiving with her family.

“Getting to spend Thanksgiving with my family and getting to see family that we don’t get to see very often is, is really exciting.”
