It’s not just big businesses in China targeted by authorities. It’s not just Chinese businesses. Steven Sharer is a young San Francisco entrepreneur who was arrested in Beijing in 2016 and imprisoned for just under a month. He was eventually deported.
He recounted horrible experiences in his new book, “Surviving Chinese Communist Detention,” where he says he did nothing wrong. NTD asked Sharer what reason the police gave for holding him.
