Amid the Chinese regime’s clampdowns on its tech sector, an essential Chinese messaging app will be temporarily suspending new user registrations.
On Tuesday, Tencent, the developer of the WeChat app, said they will be upgrading their security to align with Chinese laws and that during this time, “registration of new WeChat personal and official accounts will be temporarily suspended.”
