The European Union is offering free COVID-19 vaccines to Beijing to help contain the virus.
An EU spokesman said a health commissioner has reached out to her Chinese counterpart.
The EU assistance will include public health expertise, along with donations of variant-adapted vaccines.
As of now, it’s unclear which or how many vaccines will be supplied, but Beijing appeared confident in its domestic vaccine rollout.
