European Union Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker expressed solidarity with the British people on Wednesday, March 22, after at least 40 people were injured and 5 reported dead in a London attack.
A car crashed into pedestrians near the British Parliament and an assailant stabbed a policeman in what police called a terrorist incident.
On March 22, EU officials were also commemorating the first anniversary of the 2016 bombings at the Brussels Zaventem Airport and Maelbeek metro station that killed 32 people and wounded hundreds.
Juncker delivered a speech in which he paid tribute to Patricia Rizzo, a European Commission worker who was killed in one of the Brussels attacks.
