With calls for euthanasia to be debated in the British parliament, the group Care Not Killing highlights how assisted suicide safeguards were quickly eroded in Canada, leading to death being offered as a ‘solution’ to mental health problems. Spokesman Alistair Thompson says there’s a growing body of evidence that laws allowing euthanasia can lead to the normalisation of suicide.
