Join NTD host Simone Gao for an exclusive interview with Dr. John Lenczowski, who served as a key Soviet affairs advisor to President Ronald Reagan.
Lenczowski served in the United States Department of State as Special Advisor to the Under Secretary for Political Affairs. From 1983 to 1987, he was Director of European and Soviet Affairs at the National Security Council. Lenczowski, arguing that America needed to handle the aggressive Soviet bloc from a position of strength, helped President Reagan form the famous policies that aided in the end of the Cold War and the collapse of communism in Europe.
In the first of two sessions, Lenczowski offers his insights on US-Russia relations in a Trump presidency. He believes that the new Republican administration must understand the expansionist character of the Russian leadership, and deal with it accordingly. Let’s see what that means in more detail.
