The number of jobs added in November and October was revised up.
Workers are getting paid more too. Average hourly earnings increased again last month, up 4.7 percent over the past year. But keep in mind the CPI is up almost 7-percent over a similar period.
The unemployment rate is now just four-tenths of a percent point off February 2020’s reading of 3.5 percent, although there are considerably fewer people in the workforce now.
