Our next focus is building community,” said  Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. “We’ll also work on building common ground.” Zuckerberg addressed the company conference for software developers on April 18. The social media genius was moved by a live murder broadcast on the site.

“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Robert Godwin Sr.,” he said. “We have a lot of work and we will keep doing all we can to prevent tragedies like this from happening.”

The murder was posted to the social media site and stayed there for two hours before it was removed.

Zuckerberg announced that his company had a suite of products in the works designed to “help build groups and community, help build a more informed society, and help keep our communities safe.”
