Facebook Whistleblower Testifies Before UK Parliamentary Committee

A whistleblower told MPs Facebook is making hate worse. Though it didn’t invent hate, she said, the company fails to take down a majority of hate speech, which might lead some people to become radicalized. She said according to Facebook’s own research, Instagram is more dangerous for children than other forms of social media. And she worries it may not be possible to make the platform safe for children.
