Temperatures are still rising in New York City as a result of the heat wave sweeping across the East Coast of the United States. New Yorkers are flocking to splash pads and spray stations to keep themselves and their kids cool. The city is urging people to stay indoors or in the shade, stay hydrated, and plan ahead. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has announced that admission to New York state parks will be free on June 19 and 20 for New Yorkers to visit beaches and pools to beat the heat.
