After waiting for eight months for the results of their professional photo shoot, Pam and Dave Zaring weren’t expecting to get the laugh of their lives—but that’s exactly what happened.
The couple posted a set of photos on Facebook on Friday that were taken during a professional photo shoot back in May.
“I literally have not laughed this hard in YEARS!!!!! You can’t make this stuff up…..again, this is NOT a joke – final product,” the couple wrote on their joint Facebook account in a message accompanying the photos.
“Literally, have not stopped laughing since opening these!” the couple wrote in another comment.
The photographer reportedly told Dave that “the shadows were really bad” even though it was a clear and beautiful day. The photographer also told her that “her professor never taught her to retouch photos.”
“Ok. This is NOT a joke,” the couple wrote on Facebook. “We paid a photographer, who claimed to be a professional, $2-250 for a family photo shoot. Please see these FOR REAL photos she delivered to us…”
The hilarious photos spread like wildfire online after the couple posted them. By Sunday morning, the post was shared more than 364,000 times.
People commenting on the post say that some of the many countries it has reached are Mexico, Jordan, Maldives, Romania, Israel, New Zealand, Vietnam, Slvoakia, and Finland.
Some of the people who saw the photos couldn’t believe they were real.
“This cannot be real,” one person wrote. “Please tell me this isn’t real.. please.”
“This IS real!!!! I️ kid you not!” the couple replied.
Others wondered if the family got their money back.
“Nope!! She stands by her work,” the couple replied.
“I️ called and asked if we look like cartoon characters on her end as well and she said yes,” the couple added in another comment. “She offered another shoot for us, but we are good.”
“I already ordered photo books to keep in our office and share with family to remember our beautiful faces,” the couple wrote.
For the most part, people couldn’t stop laughing.
“I can’t stop my tears!!! This is the best thing ever,” one Facebook user wrote. “Wish she would have done the dogs too.”
