A mother and child survived a train passing over them after they fell onto the tracks on the London underground.
The woman’s husband had jumped down to help after their pram wheels tipped over the edge at Baker Street station, taking the woman with it, at around 10 p.m. on Sept. 7.
As a train approached, the three ducked into a pit between the rails.
British transport Police said that “amazingly,” all three escaped unscathed. They were taken to hospital as a precaution.
“It appears a lady was walking along the platform, pushing her child in a buggy, whilst looking up at the indicator board,” said a statement from the police.
“She, the buggy and the child fell onto the track. The father jumped down to help them.”

“When they saw a train coming, all three were extremely fortunate in being able to move into a pit under the track and the train passed safely over the top of them.”

The platform was shut until 11 p.m. according to the police, and extreme delays on the Jubilee line were reported.
Passengers who had witnessed the incident reported it on social media, some anxious to know if the family were ok, some reporting their shock at the incident.
One user said: “When pushchair with kids and mum end up on the track in front of the train you were just about to board.
“Thankfully all unharmed. The driver is also ok and he did a superb job, along with a chap from the depot that was on his way to work. What a night.”
