Father, Son Stumble on Terrifying Scene of Gator Eating Another Gator

A father and son were on a nature walk on June 23 when they encountered a jaw-dropping scene.

Keith Small and his son Landon were near Lake Apopka in Florida when they noticed a large alligator in the water. What surprised them was what the gator had in its jaws.

Landon quickly captured the terrifying footage where an estimated 14-foot gator was seen chewing a smaller 5-foot gator in the water, reported Fox 35.

In the footage, the smaller gator’s tail is seen sticking out of the larger gator’s mouth.

The father and son duo said they were amazed by what they saw.

“We were like, ‘There’s something in its mouth,’ and then we were like, ‘Oh, it’s a fish,'” Landon told the news station.

“And then it moved and we were like, ‘Oh, it’s another gator!”

According to the park director at Gatorland in Orlando, Mike Hillman, alligators are cannibalistic and it is normal for a larger gator to feast on a smaller gator, reported the news station.
