Five of eight individuals who allegedly took part in an illegal Chinese Communist Party law enforcement operation called “Fox Hunt” were arrested in the United States on Wednesday.
Operation Fox Hunt began in 2014 under the orders of Chinese leader Xi Jinping. China describes Fox Hunt as an “international anti-corruption campaign” but it also targets dissidents and tries to coerce or threaten targets into returning to China.
